Sandra Bullock is named Best Actress, while The Hurt Lockers wins six Oscars, including Best Film! The Best Actor was nominated to Jeff Bridges. It was the Golden Globes, SAG and the BAFTAs but that night it was just all about the Oscars and who would win the most!
The first ever woman to collect the Best Director Oscar, Kathryn Bigelow. Was the big winner of the night. Her blockbuster film T.H.L went on to win Best Film beating Avatar! Can you believe it?
Sandra Bullock broke down in tears on stage when she was thanking her mum for all the support. Sh was the clear favorite to win Best Actress with a gorgeous Marchesa gown.
More ever, Jeff Bridges finally collected the whole set of awards this year after receiving the Best Actor gong for his portrayal of a down-and-out country signer in Crazy Heart.
Inglourious Basterds actor, Christopher Waltz, won the award for Best Supporting Actor while Precious star Mo'Nique picked up the Best Supporting Actress gong.
For the Best Costume Design goes to a previous winner, Sandy Powell. For her work on The Young Victoria while Best Animated Feature Film went to UP.
